Yesterday was absolutely epic. Splitboarding with local shredder/mountain guide Bas Elhorst in his back yard the Rendl. Conditions were perfect, velvety AK like pow in protected and north facing slopes, almost no wind and bluebird skies. We did a series of hikes and lines. Riding three completely untracked big mountain lines in perfect powder. Our last run from the Gams Kar was amazing. First steep, scary terrain then open rolling terrain sprinkled with great features: Windlips, pillows, drops and then trees. All in all probably 1400m vertical decent. Riding was so amazing that it was hard to stop to take the occasional picture.
Luckily stability has become way better. The snow has settled well. The biggest dangers at the moment are wind loaded snow along the alpine ridges.
It looks like the great touring conditions will hold up. Time to explore the high alpine.
