Since its founding in 2002, Armada has grown to become one of the leading ski brands in the world. With high-quality skis and an elite team, Armada has become a staple for skiers in the park, backcountry, and all over the mountain. Now, the company is tapping into a new market.

Back in November 2025, popular ski brand Armada announced it was expanding its portfolio into snowboarding, with its first boards coming in the fall of 2026. That time has finally come, and after over a year of waiting, Armada’s snowboards are available for purchase.

With its first-ever snowboard drop, Armada released nine boards — each designed with a different rider in mind. These are the Armada snowboards for the 2026-27 season:

  • Beatnik: Directional twin snowboard designed for all-mountain freestyle riding.
  • Do-Si-Do: An all-mountain freestyle machine designed to handle it all.
  • Sicko: An all-mountain snowboard shape with a freestyle flex.
  • Cold Press: True twin freestyle board made for progressing in the park.
  • Tuffy: True twin, built for park laps and street sessions.
  • Kure: A tapered, directional ladies-specific mountain machine.
  • Squonk: Volume shift down, designed to level up.
  • Shatter Point: Unbreakable quality with freeriding at its forefront.
  • Blueprint: A directional, unisex freestyle snowboard.

When Armada announced it was moving into snowboarding, it received mixed reactions. Many were pleased by the announcement, believing that new brands open the door to new technology, new designs, and new opportunities for snowboarders. Others, however, were not so excited about a traditional ski brand entering the realm of single planks.

Nonetheless, Armada entered the snowboarding scene with a bang. Shortly after its announcement, it released its stacked team of fan-favorite riders that includes street legends like Mike Liddle, Dan Liedahl, Justin Phipps, Egan Wint, and Ivika Juergenson. The team also brought in some powder slayers, like Alek Oestreng and Steffi Luxton, and even a 2026 Olympian in Juliette Pelchat.

To go along with its team, Armada’s creative graphics seemed to smooth over some edges with the brand’s objectors. Poppy graphics like those on the Sicko and Squonk drew attention from snowboarders who like a board with stand-out graphics. On the other hand, simpler graphics like that of the Beatnik satisfied snowboarders who prefer a more subtle look.

In addition to its rider team and graphics, the Armada snowboarding staff is also top-tier. Tanner McCarty serves as the brand director, and Rome Snowboards founder Paul Maravetz is the brand’s Vice President of Product. Tom “T Bird” Monterosso is the marketing manager, following his time as an athlete manager, photographer, and producer for the Natural Selection Tour.

“There’s an honesty at this brand that’s refreshing,” McCarty said in a press release. “You can write down that you’re ‘team-driven’ or you can have your team walk through the office doors every day, snow still stuck to their pants, bugging the product teams about how something flexes. Armada has the latter. Their commitment to quality product via strong team culture is a dreamy little ethos to build a snowboard brand from.”

With its new snowboards, Armada also redefined its outerwear lineup with a more snowboard-inspired look. Worn last season by team rider Pelchat, Armada released its workwear Gas Up collection and its three-layer Chromatic kit.

With the recent release of its 2026-27 snowboard lineup, Armada snowboards have officially arrived. Whether you spend your days lapping the park or prefer searching for powder in the backcountry, Armada offers a snowboard for every type of riding. And whether you love the brand or not, Armada snowboards are here, and here to stay.
