Aspen Skiing Co. announced on Monday that Aspen Mountain, CO will reopen for upper mountain skiing next Saturday and Sunday, and maybe even longer, reports the Aspen Daily News.

We will be open “at least one more weekend, then we will see where we go from there,” SkiCo spokesman Jeff Hanle said. “If we are open with the gondola [for summer operations] and the ski product is good, we plan to keep it open, but we can’t predict” what weather conditions will do over the next few weeks.

The base on the 130-open-acres at the top of the mountain over the Memorial Day weekend was mid-winter like. SkiCo officials are confident that there will be minimal melt off before next weekend, as another storm is forecast over the next two days.

More than 3,000 came up on Saturday, with just under that number on Sunday, according to Hanle.
