Alterra announced earlier today that Aspen Snowmass, Colorado, will join the Ikon Base Pass for the upcoming 2026-27 winter season, providing five days of access to Snowmass during the 2026-27 winter season, with select blackout dates, to Ikon Base Pass holders.

This new pass offering gives more guests the opportunity to experience Snowmass–Aspen Snowmass’ largest mountain and a destination known for its expansive high-alpine terrain and family-friendly skiing–next winter season. Ikon Base Pass holders will get to experience Snowmass’ recent on-mountain upgrades, like the new Elk Camp and Cirque chairlifts, as well as unique experiences including The Cabin, Snowmass’ vibrant mid-mountain après destination, and next season’s reopening of a reimagined Ullrhof restaurant – the resort’s first all-electric restaurant. For the best way to explore the mountain, guests can utilize Snowmass’ world-class Ski & Snowboard School offerings for all ability levels.

Access with the Ikon Base Pass is valid at Snowmass only and does not include Aspen Mountain, Aspen Highlands, or Buttermilk. For access to all four mountains, the Ikon Pass will continue to offer seven-day combined access to all four Aspen Snowmass mountains.

In addition, reservations will no longer be required for lift access at any of Aspen Snowmass’ four mountains next winter for those with either the Ikon Pass or Ikon Base Pass.

Ikon Base Pass holders visiting Snowmass will also receive 25% off 10 Friends & Family lift tickets, valid at Snowmass only.

Blackout dates at Snowmass for the Ikon Base Pass are:

  • December 26-30, 2026
  • January 16-17, 2027
  • February 13-14, 2027

Ikon Pass and Ikon Base Pass go on sale for winter 2026-27 on March 12
