New Purpose-Built Aspen Snowmass Uniforms and ASPENX Outerwear Apparel Pieces Launching this Season

Aspen Snowmass has introduced its first line of custom-built, innovative, premium, outerwear pieces – under a new brand concept ASPENX – evolved from the newly designed and produced Aspen Snowmass employee uniforms.  Guests can now benefit from outerwear pieces engineered to withstand the demands of mountain professionals who spend every day on the slopes in the elements under all conditions. Aspen Snowmass is the first ski resort operator to create custom uniforms for their entire staff.

“After listening to feedback from our employees regarding their on-mountain needs, we knew we could apply their expertise to purpose-building an apparel system for the four mountains of Aspen Snowmass. These pieces were inspired and designed by some of the best and most experienced professionals in the ski industry, and tested in iconic settings from the Highland Bowl to the Buttermilk Superpipe. Our guests often ask our Ski & Snowboard School Professionals about their gear, so we launched the inaugural ASPENX Ajax Line, to offer a version of our professional pieces to our loyal Aspen Snowmass skiers and riders.”

Erin Sprague, Chief Brand Officer at Aspen Snowmass

The following offers a general overview of these outerwear pieces.

Aspen Snowmass Uniforms

Designed for the most discerning and experienced mountain professionals, these pieces strike a balance among innovative performance, workhorse durability, and trademark style. New custom-built uniforms for Aspen Snowmass’ Ski Patrol, Ski & Snowboard School Instructor, Mountain Operations professionals, and Ambassadors include technical fabrics, sustainable certifications, and relentless attention to detail.

Aspen Snowmass Ski Patrol Uniforms:

Tested across the 5,500 acres, intense conditions, and four mountains of Aspen Snowmass, Aspen Skiing Company designed its own line of outerwear to meet the on-mountain needs of its 180 Ski Patrol professionals. From avalanche mitigation in the backcountry-style Highland Bowl to below-freezing temperatures on Aspen or Snowmass’ high-altitude summits, to warm spring days at Buttermilk, this purpose-built kit is for the most discerning and diverse mountain performance and safety. The shell and bibs include advanced technical features and the Aspen Snowmass Ski Patrol trademark orange color. Featuring GORE-TEX PRO® 3L nylon fabric for premium protection against water and wind, innovative pocketing designed for critical on-mountain safety items, and more, these kits are built to withstand any Aspen Snowmass conditions.

Aspen Snowmass Ski & Snowboard School Uniforms:

Firmly rooted in performance and style, the new three-piece layering system provides thermoregulation, durability, and visibility informed by the feedback and testing of over 500 employees. The outerwear will also be worn by Mountain Operations professionals and Ambassadors, each with their own identifying colorway. Built to enhance the employee and guest experience, and with the company’s brand promise of “Return Transformed,” integrated into the interior stitching, this new uniform collection was inspired by the people and place of Aspen Snowmass. These pieces will be made with GORE-TEX® 2L nylon fabric with Primaloft Gold insulation and feature custom artwork from Paula Crown on the interior.
