Trip Report: Skiing Japan During the Legendary Storm Cycle that Dropped 25 Feet of Snow in 12 Days “Hey Brent, guess what?” “What?” “It’s still snowing…” This was the oft-repeated banter we exchanged over a 10-day period in early February 2025 in the lesser-known zones of Central Honshu, Japan, during the mother of all storm cycles that dropped up to 25 feet of snow in 12 days. Even after 9 previous trips to this magical land of powder […] Trip Report Daryn Edmunds | March 12, 2025 0 Comments
Grand Targhee | Conditions Report and Resort Rundown With 5″ of new snow again last night it looks like Grand Targhee is still stacking up snow this season. A season total of 390″+ is as impressive as the incredible backside views of the Grand Teton that greeted us after a short traverse off the top of the Dreamcatcher high speed quad. We were lucky enough to get out and sample the product this past Thursday the 13th of March and it would be a lie to say that we didn’t have a blast shredding Targhee. The sun was out in force allowing us to take in the breathtaking views and get a good picture of the overall resort layout. The sun and […] Conditions Report Daryn Edmunds | March 15, 2014 0 Comments

First Snowbird Pow Day of the Year | Photo Tour of Oct. 15th After a long walk up Snowbird late this Tuesday morning K2/Scott athlete McKenna Peterson, Kyler Roush and myself were ready to take a few turns down one of our favorite runs at Snowbird. The snow was deeper than expected, so we decided that we could take a chance and ski a more aggressive line than Kyler had sampled the day before. Being back on skies felt really really really good:) The turns up top were surprisingly deep and fast and the rocks were not an issue for the upper faces we skied. Here Kyler shows you how to […] Conditions Report Daryn Edmunds | October 17, 2013 1 Comment

Sweet Bike Photos | Trent Bona Photograghy The trails surrounding Fruita, CO are what initially inspired the mass migration of my friends caravanning from the mountains in search of dry single track each Spring. But now I am just as inspired to return each year for the camaraderie and campfire conversation that comes along with this annual riding adventure. There is nothing quite like mountain biking on true high alpine singletrack. And when you can get to it as the sun rises over the Elk Mountains in the distance, well that is as good as it gets!
