Without a doubt, winter 2015 has been the most intense in the Patagonian Andes since 2005. Surely, El Nino has a lot to do with al the snowfall.
In July, Baguales received a ton of snow in a series of storms that at times wouldn’t let up, but allowed us to ski the incredible powder in the lower elevations forests that we haven’t been able to access for a while.
We’re looking forward to another snowfall and some cold days that will surely keep snow conditions ideal.
Don’t forget that we have the Rio Villegas Lodge and the Mesada and Villegas huts open and we’ll shortly be opening the the Pintado hut.
Please check out webpage to make reservations for our cat skiing and backcountry skiing. This winter will be one to remember in Baguales, Patagonia.
