Bariloche, Argentina Backcountry Report: One of the Coolest Chutes We’ve Ever Skied – ‘T Daddy’

Yesterday, we finally went for the crown jewel line in our mini spring project – The Patagonia Chutes & Corn Project.

We’re calling this line ‘T Daddy’.

It’s big, it’s long, it’s steep, and it’s spicy.

This was chute #3 in our current 6-chute project.

Because I wasn’t fully sure it goes in the middle (it’s steep & rocky in there right now).

I decided to boot straight up it – which turned out to be spicy itself.

There were glide cracks, rocks, 50º bulges.

It was a bit mentally fatiguing because the chute was just damn steep from start to finish.

The middle and upper sections especially.

The top section skied like a perfect corn dream.

The middle was steep, rocky, and spicy.

The bottom was an avalanche debris battle.

Overall, this was one of the coolest chutes I’ve skied anywhere on Earth.

Thanks, Argentina!
