Bariloche, Argentina Conditions Report: Big Lines in Dreamy Backcountry Powder

Yesterday was powder day #29 here in Bariloche, Argentina.

After 4 days of backing off lines due to avalanche danger, we hiked out into the backcountry yesterday and the snow was perfect.

The snow was soft, supple, and easy.  There were a few wind pressed spots that were funky, but for the most part, it was dreamy.

To be honest, I’m exhausted…

I shouldn’t have gone for the backflip in the video…  The jump didn’t line up right, it was rocky with thin snow on it, I felt I couldn’t hit it fast because it was so lippy and rocky looking…  But this line and the possibility of backflipping out of it has been haunting my dreams for over a week now…

Yeah, my head wasn’t right and I was tired and I saw that the lip didn’t work from above but I went for it anyway…  Kinda wish I’d have just straight aired it, but also glad I went for it in a way.

I’m not sure if I’ll get another shot at this line in such great condition for years to come…

This season has been amazing and relentless.

The views yesterday were spectacular.

Cheers to Bariloche.
