East Coast park riders have something to be excited about this summer.
New Jersey’s Big Snow — an indoor ski dome at the American Dream mall in East Rutherford — is bringing back its Park After Dark series for riders who want to work on their tricks after-hours. Held once a month, Park After Dark brings an exclusive park-only session featuring real snow, live DJs, giveaways, food, and drinks. There will also be a rail jam with a cash prize.
“Whether you’re dialing in tricks, riding with friends, or just soaking in the late-night energy, Park After Dark delivers a high-energy atmosphere you won’t find during regular hours,” Big Snow writes.
The first Park After Dark Session is scheduled for July 31 from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m., with the second scheduled for the same time on August 28. A general admission ticket costs $50, and a rental package ticket costs $90. A Park After Dark ticket is required for entry.

Park Progression Without the Crowds
Typically, Big Snow’s slopes are open from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, with an additional hour on Fridays. On the weekends, the resort opens at 10 a.m. and closes at 9 p.m. on Saturday and 8 p.m. on Sunday.
Park After Dark offers an opportunity for park-focused skiers and snowboarders to work on progression without normal day crowds. With fewer people on the hill and more time to ride, participants can spend more time hitting features, dialing in tricks, and getting laps.
The event also turns the dome into a community event around the shared interest of park riding. With music bumping throughout the facility and park riders throwing down, Park After Dark recreates the feeling of a spring park session with your best friends.
Staying Dialed During Summer
When most ski resorts are still months from their opening dates, Big Snow gives guests the chance to ride real snow in the offseason. As North America’s only indoor ski center, it has become a popular option for both new skiers learning their first turns and professionals who want the feeling of real snow during North American summers.
