Love was in the—chilled—air at Big SNOW American Dream last week as Stanley and Nettie Tang of Woodbridge, New Jersey, celebrated their wedding in one of the most unique venues imaginable: the only indoor ski resort in North America.

The newlyweds exchanged vows surrounded by snow, chairlifts, and the hum of ski lifts inside the 28°F slopes of Big SNOW, located in the American Dream Mall in East Rutherford, New Jersey. For the couple, the setting wasn’t just memorable—it was very personal: “We knew we wanted to do something different for our wedding, Nettie said. “We went to Big SNOW as one of our first dates and Stanley taught me how to snowboard there. We saw that Big SNOW did private events, and we just reached out and asked if it was possible. They were willing to accommodate all of our requests for the wedding and were so helpful in getting everything exactly as we wanted it.
The intimate ceremony reflected the couple’s shared passions. Both big snowboarding enthusiasts and Pokémon fans, they designed custom ski socks as wedding favors and even created personalized Pokémon cards for their guests. “I had an amazing time,” Nettie added. “All the staff were really helpful too and asked if they could help with anything. I had an amazing time and would consider doing another private event there in the future.”
Opened in December 2019, Big SNOW spans four acres of skiable terrain within the sprawling American Dream complex—a short drive from New York City. The facility features three trails, four lifts, a terrain park, and a climate-controlled environment kept at a steady 28°F year-round.
The Tangs’ celebration marked the first-ever indoor ski center wedding in America and—even more importantly—celebrated a special memory for the couple.
