Breckenridge Ski Resort, CO, had hoped to stay open through Memorial Day but the below-average snow year has forced them to bring that closing day forward a week. The resort will now close this weekend, May 23rd.

Operations Update: Breaking up is hard to do, but we promise it’s not you, it’s us…

While we were aiming to ski and ride with you through Memorial Day, Mother Nature had other plans and the conditions didn’t cooperate.

Join us this weekend for our final winter hoorah on Peak 8, with closing day now set for Sunday, May 23. As we prepare to move on, we will cherish all the memories and good times we made together this winter season.

And don’t worry, we’ll rekindle this again next year and plan to operate throughout May for future seasons to come.

In 2018 Breck closed on April 22nd, in 2019 on 9th June, and of course last year they closed on March 14th due to covid-19. The resort plans to stay open through Memorial Day every year, conditions permitting.

Breckenridge will reopen for summer on June 18, offering lift-served mountain biking, the GoldRunner Coaster, and Alpine slides.
