Brian Head Resort, Utah, ended daily operations for the 2025–26 ski season on Sunday, April 26, capping off one of the longest winters in the state of Utah this year. The resort is now preparing to reopen for a final bonus weekend of skiing and snowboarding on May 2 and 3.

The southern Utah resort finished the season with 159 days of operations and was also the first in the state to open, beginning its winter on November 21, 2025.

Although daily lift operation has now concluded, skiers and snowboarders will get one last opportunity to return to the slopes this coming weekend, when Brian Head hosts its closing weekend celebrations. Mountain May-Hem events on Saturday, May 2, will centre around the Giant Steps base area. Guests will be able to take part in raffle giveaways, with each lift ticket scan counting as an entry. Those arriving in costume will receive additional entries, with prizes including lift tickets, a one-night stay at Brian Head Lodge, and a weekday season pass.

HOW TO GET RAFFLE TICKETS

  1. Load Giant Steps Express between 10 – 11 AM
  2. Wear a costume (jorts count!)
  3. Participate in the group photo at the top of chair 2

The group photo is scheduled for noon at the top of chair 2. A live DJ is set to perform at Giant Steps Lodge from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Brian Head encourages all guests to dress up for the final weekend of skiing of the 2025-26 season. For more information, visit Mountain-May-Hem event page.
