Brian Head Resort celebrates its longest ski season and highest visitation in 60 years with a bonus weekend.

Brian Head Resort, Southern Utah’s premier ski destination, is extending its 2024–25 ski and snowboard season with a bonus weekend, operating from Friday, May 9, through Sunday, May 11. The 2024–25 season marks a record-setting 181 skiable days, the longest in the resort’s 60-year history.

Over the bonus weekend, the Giant Steps Express will operate from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., offering top-to-bottom skiing and snowboarding. The Blackfoot lift will also be open, servicing beginner terrain. The Bypass Terrain Park on the Heavenly Daze trail on Giant Steps Mountain will give skiers and snowboarders one last chance to jump, jib, and rail slide.

Navajo Mountain and Navajo Lodge will be closed during the extended weekend.

Amenities

The Giant Steps Lodge will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., offering food, drinks, and beer. It also has one of the best patios for soaking up the spring vibes.

Bonus Weekend Deals

Lift tickets start at $19 online and include a $10 resort credit that can be used for food, beverages, rentals, or retail at resort-owned outlets. Ski and snowboard rentals will be available for just $25 online. Afternoon adult ski and snowboard lessons will be 25% off.

“We’re thrilled to extend our 2024–25 season, providing half a year of skiing and snowboarding, and setting the longest season in Brian Head Resort’s 60-year history. We’re extremely grateful for the dedication of our mountain operations team, whose hard work gives people the freedom to ski and ride. And to all of our guests who have made this season one of the best ever, this weekend is for you,” said Amber Palmer, marketing manager at Brian Head Resort.

Brian Head Resort has also broken its visitation record, with more skier visits than any previous year. Following the record-setting winter, the resort will transition to summer operations, scheduled to begin on Friday, June 13, conditions permitting.

New this summer, the resort plans to operate seven days a week during select periods. From June 27 through August 10, the Giant Steps Chairlift will run daily, offering more opportunities for guests to enjoy Brian Head’s scenic chairlift rides and lift-served mountain biking.
