Report from Christmas Day, 2022

Christmas!

We awoke to clearing skies, the threat of sunshine, and no wind.

Very little of our canyon receives sun.

The hut never gets sun right now.

Neither do the pillows.

We decided to stay in the sun and drink it in since it looked like this would be our only sunny day of the trip here.

High avalanche danger kept us to mellow, fun tree skiing and we had no complaints.

The snow was great and the sun was warm.

Especially after the -20ºF temps we started this trip in.

Great snow, good friends, long laps, and baby trees.

A big Christmas dinner with 14 people and a white elephant gift exchange made it feel like Christmas.

Thanks, Santa!
