Burke Mountain Resort is ready to welcome riders back to Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom this Saturday, June 6, as the Burke Bike Park officially kicks off its 2026 summer season. For the opening two weeks, the park will operate on a weekend-only schedule, with daily operations expanding to a Thursday-through-Sunday rotation beginning June 18.

The resort enters the new season with a heavy focus on infrastructure and trail revitalization. According to Alex McAndrew, Burke’s Director of Summer Operations, the mountain has partnered with the trail build firm Gravity Logic to draft a comprehensive master plan for future development. In the immediate term, riders can expect a significant rebuild of “Jester,” the resort’s signature jump trail, which is being refined into a black diamond experience.
Other updates include improved drainage and ride quality on the “Kirby Connector,” as well as substantial improvements to the “Enchanted” and “Merlin” trails to ensure a more consistent blue-trail experience from the summit to the base.
“Our trail crew has worked hard to get our park prepped and open while adding some exciting new updates to the classics,” McAndrew in a press release shared with SnowBrains. “We’ll be focused on reviving and refreshing our connections into the Kingdom Trails network, as well as revitalizing our own trails.”
Beyond the trail work, Burke is expanding its guest services with a new demo fleet of Transition bikes, which will include E-bike options available to Kingdom Trails users. For those new to gravity riding, the resort is also rolling out “Bike Park 101” lessons, which provide training in braking, body positioning, and line choice before moving to a guided run.
The resort is also leveraging its partnership with the adjacent Kingdom Trails network, a destination featuring over 100 miles of singletrack. Guests looking to stay can utilize the Burke Mountain Hotel’s customizable “Bike & Stay” package, which offers access to both the lift-serviced park and the surrounding trail network, complete with dedicated indoor bike storage and wash stations.
For those planning a mid-June trip, the resort will also serve as a stop on the 2026 Transition Bikes “Laps and Taps Tour” on Sunday, June 21, which will feature group rides and Father’s Day-themed family activities.
