Burton to Release Zeb Powell-Inspired Clothing Line

A new clothing collection is on its way to the Burton lineup.

In collaboration with world-class snowboarder Zeb Powell, Burton is dropping a line of new clothing this summer. Titled “Planet Zebulon,” the release will include unique, non-traditional snowboard wear like jerseys, T-shirts, and shorts inspired by Powell. The drop will be available on Burton’s website and at select few snowboard shops in North America.

Shop Zeb Powell’s Unique Look

Powell has brought more than just his riding skills to the sport. His unique style and attire have caught the attention of snowboarders around the world, making him one of the most well-known riders. From baggy pants to oversized T-shirts to chains, Powell’s style has redefined snowboard fashion, making Burton’s new collection an extension of his personality.

The collection pulls inspiration from the 26-year-old’s life experiences and vintage interests, bringing his “signature energy, style, and approach to riding into everyday wear,” according to Snowboard Magazine. Each item is designed to be worn both on and off the mountain.

Powell’s Rise to Fame

Born in the non-traditional snowboarding state of North Carolina, Powell began snowboarding at a young age, making his first turns at Cataloochee Ski Area. Using social media, Powell was able to quickly make a name for himself. His high-energy videos featuring his fearless, creative tricks earned him recognition from the biggest brands and people in snowboarding.

Powell is perhaps most famous for his performances in the X Games Knuckle Huck competitions, where he has completed multiple never-before-done tricks. His skills culminated in his historic 2020 X Games Knuckle Huck gold medal, becoming the first Black snowboarder to win an X Games gold.

Today, Powell remains a pioneer of the sport. He partners with organizations like Hoods to Woods Foundation, which introduces inner-city youth to snowboarding. His influence has also landed him groundbreaking opportunities off the snow, including his 2023 signing with Nike’s Jordan brand. He is the first snowboarder to sign with Jordan.

While the snowboarder has been working with dozens of brands across the industry, he has remained a staple on Burton’s team for several years. The relationship dates back to February 2021 when Powell officially signed a brand deal to ride Burton boards. Today, he famously rides Burton’s massive 205-centimeter Super-Ultra Blossom snowboard and has been featured in company movies like Paved.
