Warming temperatures and the longer days of spring are here. California’s spring skiing is legendary with 60-degree temperatures, pond skims, and slushy big mountain lines. Unfortunately, this also means the end of the resort season is near. Most of California’s resorts are closing on various weekends throughout April. Mammoth Moutain and Squaw Valley will be open through at least Memorial Day weekend (May 29-31), although they traditionally will push that into June if conditions allow. There will be resorts open around the state for the next several weeks. Time to put some warm-weather wax on and ski in a t-shirt.
Many ski resorts around the country will have closing days in the upcoming weeks. However, don’t let this bum you out. Think of it more as an opportunity to go to as many closing days as possible and rack up some crazy memories while rocking the dirtiest goggle tan humanly possible.  Consider this a personal challenge or simply some encouragement to get out there and enjoy the last of the spring skiing.

- Alta Sierra: Closed
- Badger Pass: Closed all season
- Bear Mountain: April 11, 2021
- Bear Valley: April 18, 2021
- Boreal Mountain: April 18, 2021
- China Peak: April 11, 2021 (possibly April 18)
- Dodge Ridge: April 25, 2021
- Donner Ski Ranch: April 4, 2021 (estimated)
- Heavenly: April 18, 2021
- Homewood: April 11, 2021
- June Mountain: April 11, 2021
- Kirkwood: April 11, 2021
- Mammoth Mountain: TBA (likely May 31, 2021, or longer)
- Mt. Baldy: April 25, 2021 (estimated)
- Mt. Shasta Ski Park: April 11, 2021
- Mount Waterman: Closed all season
- Mountain High: April 11, 2021
- Northstar: April 18, 2021
