Last night around 6pm, we were starting to worry that yesterday’s storm was a dud…ย After 12 hours of Winter Storm Warning As of 4pm, Squaw was only reporting 1″ and Mammoth was reporting only 3-5″.ย This was not the 1-3 feet that NOAA was forecasting.
Then the storm got colder, started slamming into the Sierra, & dropped up to 24″ of new snow in 24 hours.ย
The next storm is forecast by NOAA to be here on Sunday and is forecast to drop 12-24″ of snow at ski resort elevations.
