The California snowpack continues to melt as high temperatures scorch the Sierra Nevada.

- Down 20% since March 30th
“The snowpack continues to melt daily over the high Sierra. As of today, it is 68 percent of normal in the southern Sierra. That’s down nearly 20 percent since the end of March. However, a year ago today, the snowpack over the southern Sierra was a meager 6 percent of normal.” – NOAA, today
