It’s been a busy past few weeks for Red Bull. The popular energy drink brand has been hosting a private training session at the Stomping Grounds Park in Saas-Fee, Switzerland, bringing in dozens of its skiers and snowboarders to prepare for the upcoming season. At the session, the brand added multiple new members to its team, including elite snowboarders Øyvind Kirkhus and Ally Hickman. And now, another top snowboarder has joined the Red Bull ranks.

Elite Canadian snowboarder Eli Bouchard has officially joined Team Red Bull. As per Red Bull tradition, Bouchard was gifted a Red Bull helmet from one of the brand’s other riders, Romain Allemand. Now officially on the team, the 18-year-old slopestyle and big air specialist joins an exclusive network of some of the most elite action sports athletes in the world.

Bouchard celebrated his accomplishment with a series of clips throwing down while sporting a new Red Bull hat.

“Life’s a dream,” the snowboarder wrote in an Instagram post.

Snowboard fans around the world had a feeling that Bouchard would eventually find his way onto an elite energy drink team. For years, top freestyle snowboarders have collaborated with energy drink brands, promoting their high-adrenaline lifestyles that match the identities of leading energy drink brands. Brands like Red Bull, Monster, and Rockstar have dominated this sphere, scooping up rider after rider to add to their teams while promoting their products. And for Red Bull, Bouchard seemed like the obvious choice.

Bouchard has been making waves in the snowboard scene ever since he was a little kid. In 2016, he became the youngest snowboarder to land a double backflip at just 8 years old. Two years later, at 10 years old, he became the youngest snowboarder to land a frontside double cork 1080. He continued his success in competition, winning FIS Freestyle events and Nor-Am Cups early on in his career.

During the 2024-25 season, Bouchard really began to hit his stride. He represented Canada at the 2024 Winter Youth Olympics in South Korea, where he won gold in big air and silver in slopestyle. Shortly after, he won a bronze medal in big at the 2024 World Junior Championships, and finished the season off with his first World Cup victory in big air in Aspen, Colorado.

The 2025-26 season was full of milestones as well. He made his Olympic debut at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milano-Cortina, Italy. Later that season, he won his second World Cup in Flachau, Austria, claiming victory in the slopestyle discipline.

Not only does Bouchard shine in competition, but he’s also been busy creating his own tricks. He went viral for inventing what is known as the “Bouch Bomb” or “McBoutch,” a butter 180 to double sloth roll, followed by a 360. Bouchard also invented what he calls the “triple moose flip.” In an interview with CBC Sports, Bouchard described the trick as “two sloth rolls, and then open up, 180, and then a backflip barrel.” Both tricks look as insane as they sound.

Now, as a Red Bull athlete, Bouchard will enjoy many perks as he prepares for this year’s competitions. Not only will he receive a hefty supply of energy drinks, but he will also enjoy a comprehensive sponsorship package that includes financial compensation and access to the brand’s world-class training and rehab facilities. With bigger features and more eyes on snowboard competitions, training and rehabbing is important for an athlete competing on the biggest stages. Red Bull’s facilities and trainers will help Bouchard prepare for contests and can help him rehab if any injuries are to occur.

When the 2026-27 competition officially kicks off, Bouchard will have a sweet new lid to show off at the drop-in. With his success in competition and inventive riding style, Bouchard is the perfect match for Red Bull. And now, Bouchard will have plenty of energy drinks to keep him going.
