Catedral ski resort in Bariloche, Argentina is pushing back their opening date to July 1st. This is the second time they’ve pushed it back. It was originally slate for June 18th – then postponed until June 24th – now postponed until July 1st.
The southern Andes are very dry right now with at least 5 ski resorts in that region pushing back opening date.
The central Andes got a huge 10-foot snow storm in early June and many opened early and continue to be open.
– Catedral, today
The above statement from Catedral basically says that they’ve pushed back their opening date until July 1st due to no snow.
