Pilot Thrown From Plane When it Became Tangled in Chairlift Cables at Italian Ski Resort

A small aircraft got tangled in the cables of a chairlift near the town of Prato Valentino in the Italian Alps on Sunday, injuring the pilot.

The pilot, from Genoa, was thrown out of the plane on impact. His passenger remained trapped inside the plane and was rescued by mountain rescue and fire brigade teams

The men were aged 62 and 55 years old. The pilot was injured and taken to a hospital in Sondalo, the other is unharmed.
