Report from September 4, 2026
After the wind blew all the beautiful new snow away on September 3, we were at a loss as to what to do.
We drove up the mountain with a plan and that plan sublimated into the ether along with all the good snow.
There was a valley we hadn’t explored yet, so we figured we’d cruise in there and have a look around.
On the way into the valley, I sniffed out a little tree skiing and made Skip indulge with me.

It wasn’t long, it wasn’t steep, it wasn’t wide open, but it was skiing in the trees in kinda powdery snow, which in my mind was a big win.
I didn’t expect to find any tree skiing down here, as the forests are just too tight and the snowpack is super thin down low.
After the fun little tree run, we continued up valley and felt lucky to find some fun corn skiing right down into a weird, digital spine line that left us both smiling.

The zone was beautiful and there are some terrific options for cliff jumping terrain at the head of the valley if we ever get another soft sunny powder day.
Fingers crossed…
The exit back to the car was quick and easy, and we really felt like we snuck out a win from a day that appeared to have no potential at all.
We’ve been on a roll with good weather and hopefully it continues.
Gracias, Chile!
