The big storm forecast for Colorado yesterday dropped up to 14″ on Colorado ski resorts.  Most ski resorts got around 6-inches of snow, which is quite a bit less than the 10-20″ that NOAA was forecasting, but we’ll take it.  It’s still snowing in CO, but the storm is forecast to exit the mountains this morning.

There is an “Avalanche Warning” for Colorado’s San Juan mountains today.  Do not got into the backcountry of the San Juans today.

It’s clearly a great day to be skiing and riding in Colorado with 7 ski resorts currently open.
