March 2019 will go down in the record books for a trio of Colorado ski resorts. Breckenridge, Copper Mountain, and Keystone all smashed snowfall records by receiving more March snowfall than ever before.

At Copper Mountain, March 2019’s 98″ of snow smashed the 86″ the resort received in March 2001. The month also ranks as the fourth snowiest EVER and the second snowiest month of this past decade.

At Breckenridge, the 111″ seen last month beat out the previous record, set in 2001, by a massive 13″. March 2019 also became the third snowiest month EVER at Breckenridge and the snowiest month outside of a pair of Januarys. The current record for the resort is 120″ in January 2014, followed by 112″ in January 1996.

At Keystone, March’s 94 inches of snow surpassed the previous March record of 79″. March 2019 comes in as the third snowiest month EVER at Keystone, only behind the 128″ received in December 1983 and the 127″ in January 1996.
