Report from 20th February 2020

For some reason, we’ve never skied Copper before. We’ve been in Colorado 10-years now and hit almost all resorts, but Copper has eluded us, until today, when we found out what we’d been missing.

A few inches of fresh snow overnight refreshed the conditions, and the snow was fast.

We took the new gondola up, then the fastest quad I’ve ever ridden, Excelerator, up even higher. We then skied the 2,200k vert straight down to the bottom of Alpine. Our legs probably weren’t ready for 2k of vert straight off after a full day cat-skiing yesterday!

Groomers on the front side were ripping, super quick.

Moguls were ‘rock star’ bumps, not big shark teeth and soft enough to just get in a rhythm and go. Yeehaw!

We didn’t wait in line once and had the slopes to ourselves.

We made it up high to Tucker Mountain at 12,400-feet and hit Falcon Alley in the bowl there. The snow was good underfoot, super fun.

Good times, it definitely won’t be another 10-years before we return!
