Copper Mountain will close out the 2024-25 winter season on Sunday, May 11

This winter season at Copper Mountain in Colorado has been one for the booksโand the good news keeps coming. The resort will stay open two weeks longer than initially planned, offering even more time to hit the slopes and soak in the spring vibes. With a packed schedule of events leading up to the closing day on Sunday, May 11, thereโs no better time to visit. From the Aerie Sunset Ski Series and Peace Out in Central Park to Sunsation and Slush Rush, springtime at Copper is truly unmatched.
Copper is excited to offer 185 days of on-hill skiing and riding for the 2024-25 winter season. This year, Copper was the first Colorado resort to reach the 100- and 200-inch milestones for season snowfall. Copper also had its second snowiest November, with 88 inches of snowfall. This season will tie the 1996-97 season as the second longest on record. With many more days left to go, there is no better time to come up to Copper and enjoy the snow and all the upcoming events.
New to Copper this year is the Aerie Sunset Ski Series on March 15 and April 19. This new event will allow guests specialty access to terrain from the American Eagle and Excelerator lifts. With intermediate and advanced trails available for guests to cruise after hours, Sunset Ski provides a unique opportunity to make turns while the sun sets. With the evening centering around Copperโs mid-mountain lodge, Aerie, guests can unwind with delicious food and live music from the Chris Bauer Trio on March 15 and Beau Thomas on April 19, all while sipping your favorite beverages from one of the bars. Celebrate the end of another great season at Peace Out in Central Park, presented by Mountain Dew, on April 26. This event will feature a special park event in Central Park with a refreshed build, fun features, swag giveaways, cash for tricks, and music. Pro snowboarder and original Peace Park creator Danny Davis will be there to celebrate the iconic terrain park he founded with the goal of reinventing freestyle terrain. Slush Rush is back again for a third year on May 3. Assemble a team of three to compete in a relay race combining several snow sport competition favorites. With three sections of the course, including the Superpipe Slalom, Cross Course, and the Rails and Pond Skim, the team with the quickest overall timed run will be named on the perpetual Slush Rush Trophy.
