With Mont Sainte Anne, Quebec, being left off the UCI MTB World Cup tour for 2026, many were devastated by this news. Just when mountain bike fans were saying their final goodbyes for the foreseeable future, Crankworx stepped in and dropped a bombshell on the mountain bike community: Crankworx has announced that Mont Sainte Anne will be the host of the grand finale of the 2026 Crankworx World Tour. From September 3-7, 2026, riders will be competing to see who will be crowned the King and Queen of Crankworx.

Mont Sainte Anne has a long and rich history hosting mountain bike events as they have hosted the UCI MTB World Cup for 30 years and often host the final stop of the tour. With an impressive trail network that includes 130 km of cross-country trails along with 30 km of downhill trails, Mont Sainte Anne is a true international destination for mountain bike enthusiasts.

Every year Mont Sainte Anne delivers an unforgettable experience for spectators with high level competition and an unmatched atmosphere thanks to the passionate fans that show up every year. Crankworx will only enhance this experience with their world class festival atmosphere that only Crankworx can deliver. Darren Kinnaird, Managing Director of Crankworx World Tour shared: “I had the chance to visit Mont-Saint-Anne last year, and two things were evident to me immediately: one, the passion of the mountain biking community in Quebec; and two, the quality of the riding in this region. This is a world-class riding destination. So naturally, I am incredibly stoked to welcome Mont-Sainte-Anne to the Crankworx family. With its rich history of hosting mountain bike events, it’s a true privilege to bring Crankworx to such a legendary destination.”

Many have speculated whether Whistler will have a stop next year on the Crankworx tour as dates have not been released yet. With the recent news of Whistler replacing Mont Sainte Anne on the UCI MTB world cup tour, uncertainty remains on whether this means Whistler will be left off the Crankworx calendar. With that being said Whistler is the birthplace of Crankworx and it would be hard to believe that it will be left off the calendar so Canadian mountain bike fans will most likely have two stops on the Crankworx calendar.

With Mont Sainte Anne hosting the final stop of the Crankworx calendar, vibes will be high in Quebec with world class competition and an unforgettable festival atmosphere. Even though the grueling and technical downhill competition that made Mont Sainte Anne famous will be missed next year, the Crankworx finale will most definitely make up for this, and Mountain bike fans should be fired up for this truly unique event.
