Press Release:

Crystal Mountain, WA – The Mt. Rainier Gondola is scheduled to reopen this Friday for sightseeing and since there’s still plenty of snow at the higher elevations, the management team at Crystal Mountain has decided to run an additional lift for skiing and snowboarding.

The Mt. Rainier Gondola and Green Valley Express lift will be open May 24-27. The ski areas received 2 inches of snow last night and the depth in Green Valley is still up to 60 inches in places. The terrain is intermediate to advanced and late season conditions do exist.  The snow has melted at the base area so skiers and snowboarders will need to download on the gondola.  All 2018-19 and 2019-20 Ikon Passes are valid this weekend.

  • The lifts open at 9:00 a.m.
  • Tickets are available online.
The Mt. Rainier Gondola will continue to operate Friday through Sunday until daily summer operations begin on June 21.
