The snow finally returned to California last weekend, but they’re going to need much, much more to catch up with some of these resorts. Could the 4-FEET forecast for Tahoe this weekend make up for a dry February? Alpental and Mt. Baker, WA are still the only resorts to smash through the 200″ mark.

British Columbia is also having a pretty epic season too, with over half of this list made up of British Columbia Resorts. We skied at Whitewater this week and can attest to how much of an awesome season they’re having up north! Every resort on this list has a base of 10-FEET or deeper… wow!

These 13 resorts have the DEEPEST snowpacks in North America right now…

  6. It’s Powder King here – super stoked to be profiled on your page … thank you very much! We get a ton of snow and wanted to let you know that today’s storm has ended and our final total base is 183cm which is 72 inches. We are the first to open on natural snow in British Columbia and our resort is an amazing opportunity for people to experience massive amounts of pristine powder without a helicopter LOL. We also have world-class groomed runs so all types and levels of skiers can have epic experiences at Powder King. Come for a visit! You will certainly be impressed.   7. Talk about Top 20 surprises! W.Va and AZ break the top four! Cali dominates the list, but even Wis, Penn, N.Car, Mich, and Min break the top 20 while not even one CO ski area makes the list (and the snowpack in CO is still above historical averages!) I guess this would point to a pretty good start of the season.

  8. Look again tomorrow. Kirkwood will hold it rightful spot at #1…and with true, maybe even understated base level snow totals.
