Report from February 9, 2025
“Stein’s Way” is my favorite run at Deer Valley, UT.
I usually just lap it all day until I’m ready to go home.
I also like the run just skier’s left of it – Edgar’s.
The run I cruise back to my car on is called Jordanelle, and it’s a very fun one with killer views of the lake below.
Yesterday, I got out there with Avery & Erica, and we were ready to charge groomers.
We oscillated between Stein’s & Edgar’s before deciding on an adventure run.
There are entire new zones that the expansion area has already opened up that I had no idea about.
We took the green run called Green Monster and took every right-hand option available.
We ended up way out there to the east and you can see a bunch of the expansion zone that you can’t see from anywhere else.
This place is going to be truly gargantuan when they finish it…
Deer Valley will soon be the 4th largest ski resort in the USA with 5,726 skiable acres.
We had a blast rolling around on green and blue runs on that far side of the mountain, and it all funneled us right back to the new Keetly Express and its lovely bun warmers.
It was a bitterly cold day in the teens with a touch of wind, and by 3 pm, we were frozen.
We glided home on Jordanelle and called it a day.
Thanks, Utah!
