Denver, CO to See First Official Snow of the Season Today | Up To 4″ Possible

Residents of Denver, CO are being warned to prepare for a drastic weather change over the next 24-hours as mild fall-like weather will turn to winter Wednesday evening through Thursday and into Friday.

A massive 62º temperature swing will bring the first official snow of the season overnight Wednesday, with the potential for up to 4 inches of snow. Temperatures are predicted to shift from a high of 78 to a low of 16. Winter is coming…

The NWS says that the strong cold front moving into the state on Wednesday evening into Thursday morning could also see areas of the state get up to 12 inches of snow.

Denver typically sees its first measurable snowfall around mid-October, ranking third among major American cities for the earliest snowfall, according to the Denver Post.
