Following their DEEPEST February ever Diamond Peak Ski Resort, NV announced Monday that it is extending its season an additional week.

The resort, which had planned to close April 14, will now stay open through April 21. General Manager Mike Bandelin said this in a press release.

“We’ve had big winter storms this year, so the snowpack is in great shape and the spring skiing is going to be really fun,” Bandelin said. “So rather than wait and announce the extension at the last minute, this year we wanted to give our pass holders and customers more of a heads up so they can plan their spring trips to the mountain.”

Diamond Peak, Lake Tahoe’s hidden gem, is a community-owned resort located above Incline Village. The resort currently has a summit depth of 104″, and total snowfall for the season so far is 378″, with more on the way.
