Dodge Ridge Mountain Resort, CA, will open for Memorial Day Weekend, May 27 and 28, 2023. Dodge Ridge is located about 2.5 hours east of Sacramento and offers 862 acres of skiing and 67 runs across 1,600 ft of vertical. The resort is serviced by eight chair lifts, four surface lifts, two full-service base area lodges, and one mid-mountain lodge.
Dodge Ridge had a record-breaking season, racking up 757 inches of snowfall, which is more than 220% of the average annual snowfall. The resort has had some recent snowfalls in May, with 9 inches falling in the last 24 hours. The current base depth is 100 – 115 inches. Note that since Sunday, May 7, 2023, chains are no longer required to drive up to the mountain. For up-to-date road conditions on Highway 108, please visit the Cal Trans Website.
For the Memorial Day Weekend, only Chair 5 will be operating, allowing access to five groomed runs, and the Waystation Rail Park will also be open. The Chair 5 Ski Lift will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, May 27 & 28, 2023, and the Sport Shop Sale on Bike and Winter Items will be open from  8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. For food, you can enjoy a special BBQ at either Creekside or the Waystation, with the former opening from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and the latter from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Memorial Day Weekend.
