With the start of the Milano-Cortina Olympics just a few weeks away, Tamarack, Idaho, has been gearing up for a wide array of Olympics themed events during the games. Long before the start of the games, the resort will continue to offer excellent conditions for carving out some GS turns or ripping through the bumps. In between runs, the Seven Devils Taphouse will be streaming coverage from the games every day from their start on February 6 to their end on February 22.

Tamarack will host a special après ski event for the opening ceremony on February 6, complete with a local Olympic torch crafted from ice. The torch will be lit by local Olympian Erik ‘Fish’ Fisher, who is also Tamarack’s Sports School Director. The party will continue on February 14, which is also the day of the Women’s Dual Moguls and the Men’s Giant Slalom, with Tamarack’s annual night skiing party, Disco on Disco. Night skiing is already fun, but night skiing with lasers, fire, costumes, and music is even better.

The next day, on February 15, Tamarack will host Race an Olympian. This free event will allow anyone to try and throw down on a dual slalom course against Erik Fisher and another local Olympian, Cheryl Maas. Like any good showdown, the event will start at high noon and run for about three hours.

Tamarack, Idaho is sure to be one of the better spots to watch the Olympics outside of Milano-Cortina. With a host of Olympics themed events during the games, and incredible terrain to help burn off excitement after an inspirational performance, Tamarack will be the best place to stoke your Olympic spirit.
