Extreme Snowmobiler “The Krazy Canadian” Dies in Avalanche in Canada Yesterday

Extreme snowmobiler”Krazy Canadian” Dan Davidoff, 45, was killed in an avalanche in British Columbia while snowmobiling on Monday.  Two other snowmobilers were killed by an avalanche in B.C. this same day.

In his last post to Facebook he said:  “Norm.  Look I can fly, Lol.”

Dan was in the mountains alone on his snowmobile near his home in Castlegar, B.C. yesterday when he was caught in and killed by an avalanche, the B.C. Coroners Service confirms.

Dan was known for his rowdy, extreme snowmobiling.  Dan has been in a series of snowmobiling videos bearing his name:  “The Krazy Canadian”.

Dan failed to return home after a snowmobile ride on Monday triggering his friends and family to report him missing and search for him.

They found Dan’s snowmobile in avalanche debris near the College Creek Forestry Rd.

On Tuesday, search and rescue crews located and extracted Dan’s body.

Dan was the 13th person to die in avalanches in B.C. this winter, 12 of them were snowmobilers.

24 people have died in avalanche in the USA this winter, 8 of them snowmobilers.

  1. Dan was a huge personality in the snowmobile industry. He was always bigger than life and lived life to the fullest! He will be missed.
