Grand Targhee doesn’t have quite the Gaper Day scene of somewhere like Jackson or Alta, but come April 1st, you’re guaranteed to see some flair from the locals.
The whole weekend was a party. There was an old school Sick Trick Comp right in front of the Trap Bar deck, so the hecklers didn’t even have to leave their chairs.
The competition got pretty heated.
Saucer Boy didn’t make it out for the comp, but he could be seen getting big air in the park, whiskey in hand.Â
Snowballs were flying. Beer was flowing. If it’s not a powder day at Targhee, you can’t go wrong with slush, sunshine, and high-speed groomers.
It looks like winter isn’t dead yet though. It’s dumping snow in Teton Valley this morning, so the skiing is probably pretty good up high.
