Report From Friday, November 18, 2022

Early-season skiing and snowboarding continue to be good old fun throughout the Greater Teton region.

And as of today, the lifts are spinning at Grand Targhee Resort above Teton Valley.

The ‘Ghee’s Nov. 18 opening morning was marked by full sun and zesty-fresh cold that made for bright, fast laps…and frozen nose hairs.

The strong November snowpack has encouraged plenty of eager adventurers to head into the backcountry as well so exercise caution out there, as high ski traffic plus early conditions don’t always make for the tastiest snow cocktail.

Looking ahead, anticipate more shiver-cold skiing under the goggle-tan sun as Jackson Hole Mountain Resort gets set for its own Opening Day on Friday, Nov. 25, followed by Snow King Mountain on Saturday, Dec. 3.
