This season will be different at virtually all ski resorts and Grand Targhee Resort is not excluded.

The powder-charged, Wyoming ski resort just shared its updated winter operations plan for the 20/21 season. The full plan is attached below:

This coming winter is going to be much different than the ones in the past. We have put precautions and plans in place to operate November 20, 2020 – April 11, 2021, opening day conditions permitting. It is going to take the cooperation of all guests and employees to keep this a safe and healthy winter. The COVID environment is ever-changing and could disrupt operations and our plan at any moment. We may have to make quick operational changes to comply with local, state, and government authorities.

We are asking you to support and respect the decisions we have made so we can continue to operate. It is going to take all of us working together to enjoy every possible powder day we can. We are asking that you minimize your time in our buildings and maximize the time outdoors. Please use your cars as a basecamp while gearing up for the morning. We will have additional outside seating and heaters, but access to buildings will be limited due to capacity restrictions. Our mandatory face coverings will continue throughout winter; face coverings will be required inside all buildings, while waiting to load the lifts, riding the lifts, and when a six-foot distancing cannot be maintained.

Our employees undergo daily health screens and additional training on COVID safety. We are continuing with increased frequency of cleaning in high trafficked areas and high touch surfaces. We are using CDC approved disinfecting solutions to clean throughout the resort and our vacation rentals, and we are using electro static sprayers in our public areas and UV light wands in our guest rooms and vacation rentals.

We are encouraging advanced purchases of day lift tickets, gear rentals, and ski and snowboard lessons. We will be shipping out all season passes this winter. Please make sure to read the information closely and help us expedite service.

Thank you for an incredible summer and doing your part in getting us through to the end. Here’s to a safe and healthy winter. We can’t wait to see you on the mountain and share the love of powder!
