Gucci Vault has launched a line of high-end designer ski gear that combines the unique Gucci aesthetic with the state-of-the-art technology from leading ski gear companies. Vault is Gucci’s experimental concept store that showcases vintage and new pieces by established and up-and-coming designers and showcases exciting collaborations. Vault Altitude is Gucci’s unique winter line of unique and sometimes quirky pieces that were created in partnership with ski gear companies like Head, Tecnica, or Yniq.

The clothing from Head is a nod to the Legacy Collection Head created with US Olympic skier Lindsey Vonn and sought to combine the functionality of on-slope-skiing with après ski fun and flair. Colors are bright and playful, and the pants and jackets feature colorful patches that allude to street art. The Gucci Vault ski pants will set you back $1,700, while prices for puffer vests and jackets range from $2,270-3,100.

The goggles for Gucci Vault were created in collaboration with Yniq. The Swedish goggle manufacturer has developed a unique peripheral vision technology, considered to offer the broadest vision available on the ski goggle market. Lindsey Vonn is a shareholder in Yniq and has collaborated with the brand for the ‘LV82’ goggle line. The collaboration with Gucci Vault comes in a funky checkered color palette, and the Latin adage, Sine Amore Nihil — “Without love, life is pointless” — is emblazoned on the strap. The Gucci Vault x Yniq goggles range from $535 to $ 745.

The collaboration with Tecnica produced the limited edition Gucci Vault Moonboot collection, with two lace-free ankle boots and three variations on their signature laced moon boot. The low-cut boot retails for $285, while the full-length boots are $340.

In an interview with Elle Magazine, Lindsey Vonn stated, “It was perfect synergy with Gucci. They conceived everything to go well together and have one streamlined concept. It turned out amazingly well. We’ve been working on this for a few months now, and it came together pretty quickly. It was a really natural fit. It’s an experimental concept, merging historical vibes with forward thinking. That’s how Gucci always does everything. There were just so many synergies between Gucci’s approach to Vault and myself, and what we were trying to achieve. We’re creating something new, something really special that no one else has seen before. Something that melds luxury and sophistication, with amazing technology.”

It has produced a one-of-a-kind ski line that will stand out on the slopes and aprés bars.
