For the 2025-26 season, Gucci is helping well-heeled skiers hit the slopes in style by launching “Gucci Altitude”, its first fully in-house active skiwear line. In past winters, Gucci leaned into après-ski glamour; this time, it’s gone full performance mode by introducing ski gear you can actually ski or snowboard in. The face of the new Altitude line is none other than Jannik Sinner, the Italian tennis ace who also skied competitively in his youth.

Jannik Sinner shared the news of Gucci’s upcoming skiwear line on his social media post, and the sports and fashion world has overwhelmingly praised the announcement. Retired U.S. ski racer Bode Miller was one of many commenters on the post with a single, loaded emoji: the goat in the Instagram comment section.
While not much has been released about the Gucci line, such as prices, the teaser images suggest that the Altitude line swings from “subtle mountain chic” to “Gucci logo overdose.” Some outfits appear drenched in monograms—the kind of look that shouts, “I may look lost, but my dad just bought this mountain.” Others lean into more muted tones and functional cuts that whisper elegance over excess. Think: Gucci, but with Gore-Tex and breathable 3-layer membranes.

Alongside the ski active wear, Gucci’s Altitude line will also feature ski gear manufactured by the Swedish ski equipment company Head. The fashion house has had a long-standing collaboration with Head, and this season the Head x Gucci collab will feature skis, ski poles, snowboards, sports bags, and helmets embellished with the House’s famous double-G logo and emblematic stripe.
Gucci Altitude line marks another fashion house getting serious about ski gear, joining the likes of Fendi and Armani. It will undoubtedly make the slopes of Aspen and Gstaad more colorful.
