Halloween was a special day in the mountains of the Western USA. California, Wyoming, Utah, & Colorado awoke on Halloween to nothing scary at all. They awoke to powder. Legit, deep, dry, mid-winter powder.

The brave few took advantage of the conditions and got some powder turns. Many ended up with faceshots. Some even ended up with over-the-head-face-shots. Not bad for Halloween.

If you’re stoke-o-meter isn’t registering this, yet, it’s time to get that thing looked at. Ski season is almost here. Most major ski resorts in North America will be open by Thanksgiving. That’s less than 1 month away…

After checking out all of these photos, where would you have rather skied yesterday? Yeah, we pick Jackson Hole, too… or maybe Colorado… come to think of it, Sugar Bowl looked pretty good…

Whoa, game on.
