In an unfortunate turn of events for Bode Miller, the courts have upheld a ruling locking Miller into a legal contract with Head Skis. This move prevents Miller from returning to alpine ski racing this season. Miller had hoped to compete with his new ski brand, Bomber.

“If Head had not won on a legal technicality, Bode would have returned to the racing circuit shortly after the court’s decision. As of now, Head has quashed Bode’s dream of returning this year.”

Rep for Bode Miller

The most decorated American Olympic skier of all time, Miller’s sidelining locks him out of competition this season. According to his reps, he will evaluate next year whether he can return to top racing form in time for the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea.

“One of the most successful alpine skiers in American history, New Hampshire’s Bode Miller has captured the attention of the world with his incredible athletic balance and ability to produce jaw-dropping performances on skis. Raised in an electricity free home, the two-time World Cup overall champion, four-time World Champion and six-time Olympic medalist has risen to become one of the most prolific international athletes.”

  1. They didn’t “quash” anything. Bode can still race. He just has to do it for Head like he agreed to.
