The National Weather Service has issued Lake Effect Snow Warnings for New York, Ohio, & Pennsylvania. They are in effect through early Wednesday evening. Heavy snow, high winds, and cold temperatures are expected to make travel very difficult to impossible.

...LAKE EFFECT SNOW WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM EST
WEDNESDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy lake effect snow occurring. Travel will be very
 difficult to impossible. Total snow accumulations of 4 to 6 feet
 are expected in the most persistent lake snows across the Tug
 Hill region of Oswego, Jefferson, and Lewis Counties, with
 lesser amounts elsewhere.

* WHERE...Northern Cayuga, Oswego, Jefferson, and Lewis counties.

* WHEN...Until 6 PM EST Wednesday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Winds gusting as high as 40 mph will cause
 areas of blowing and drifting snow.
