Powder Mountain ski resort in northern Utah has closed for the 2017/18 season due to heavy rain.

The rains have opened creeks and made the resort unsafe for the skiing/snowboarding public.

Powder Mountain was scheduled to stay open until April 15th.

All remaining events at Powder Mountain are canceled.

“Powder Mountain Resort is CLOSED for the 2017/18 season.

Due to heavy rains and low snowpack, most of the mountain creeks are now exposed.
Effective today, Saturday, April 7th at 4:30pm, Powder Mountain will close for the 2017/18 winter season.
The unfortunate warm weather is cutting our ski season one week short. All remaining on hill events including Powder Prom (closing weekend party) and Powder Keg Music will be canceled.

On behalf of everyone at Powder Mountain, THANK YOU for all your support and making this mountain special!
We hope to see you next year in knee deep POWDER, hooting and hollering!” – Powder Mountain, yesterday

  1. That was a painful closing, If you threw a end of season party this weekend , without the skiing, just music, I’d by some beer and food from you, and I bet a lot of others would too. 🙂
