The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for Wyoming. It’s in effect from Saturday Afternoon through Sunday Afternoon. Moderate to heavy snowfall is expected to impact the area throughout that time period.

Cold air is expected to remain in the area throughout the duration of this storm, so snow is expected to fall at all elevations.

  Tetons/southwest Yellowstone, 10 to 16 inches
  in the mountains, and 7 to 11 inches in the 
  lower elevations, are possible.

...Snow continuing across northwest portions of the state Saturday
and Sunday...

.Light snow will continue Saturday morning, becoming moderate to
heavy at times Saturday afternoon and evening, across the
Absarokas, Tetons and Yellowstone. Light snow will also fall in
the Jackson Valley, with periods of moderate snow falling by this
evening. Snow will become light and steady across the area through
the day Sunday.

Yellowstone National Park-Absaroka Mountains-
Teton and Gros Ventre Mountains-Jackson Hole-
Including the cities of Lake, Mammoth, Old Faithful, and Jackson

SUNDAY AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Periods of moderate to heavy snow possible. Total snow
  accumulations of 1 to 2 feet in the Tetons/southwest
  Yellowstone, 10 to 16 inches in the mountains, and 7 to 11
  inches in the lower elevations, are possible.

* WHERE...Yellowstone National Park, Absaroka Mountains, Teton
  and Gros Ventre Mountains and Jackson Hole.

* WHEN...From Saturday afternoon through Sunday afternoon.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Plan on difficult travel conditions,
  especially on the passes. Winds gusting as high as 50 mph in
  the passes will cause areas of blowing and drifting snow.
  Significant reductions in visibility are possible.
