Squaw Valley, CA Ski Patrollers came to the rescue of a skier on Sunday, who’d traveled approximately two miles out of bounds. The lost skier ended up near Needle Lake and due to difficult terrain, CHP Helicopter (H-24) was requested.

Ski Patrollers had to traverse dangerous terrain, amid avalanche warnings, to locate the lost skier. H-24 transported the lost skier and both ski patrollers back to high camp at Squaw Valley.

Ski Patrol is urging skiers to stay in bounds on trails and be aware of avalanche safety.
