The national (lower 48) high and low temperatures as of 11 am this (Sunday) morning were both in California; Death Valley, CA and Bodie State Park, CA, respectively. Death Valley reached a high temperature of 119°F yesterday and Bodie dropped down to 25°F overnight. The nation’s two extreme temperatures took place only 163 miles apart!
More heat on the way for this week as high pressure builds back into the western US. High temperatures are forecast to be 7-9 degrees above normal for this time of year with western Nevada valleys in the 95-105 degree range and 85-95 degrees for the Sierra valleys. Stay cool!
