Steve Ash is a freelance illustrator based just outside London, UK and like all of us, his main passion in life (after illustrating and art, of course) is skiing and traveling to the wonderful countries in which ski resorts are located.
After chatting with a friend about all the ski resorts visited over the years, and his love of vintage ski posters, an idea was born to create a series of posters of all the resorts he has visited.ย Having skied for many years this number was quite substantial, including some of the world’s best resorts in Europe, the United States, and Canada.
Thankfully his wife also shares his passion for skiing and they decided to get married in Lake Tahoe, in 2006, by none other than a skydiving Reverent. Cool! The passion for the mountains and snowsports must be hereditary, as his daughter now loves it as too and they have had her on skis since she was about three.
